Smith & Porter Reopening in Downtown Minneapolis

A contemporary American restaurant that's been closed for a year and a half as a result of the pandemic is coming back in Minneapolis' Mill District near the Guthrie Theater.

Smith & Porter, located on the ground floor of Ecumen's Abiitan Mill City senior living building at 428 S. Second St., plans to reopen Wednesday with a revamped menu, a new leader in the kitchen and new management from Genuine Foods.
